It is not necessary. The leather used to cover Salva's pieces goes through a tanning process that meets this need.
One of the benefits of leather is its practicality. To maintain and clean your upholstery, we recommend using only a damp cloth and water. Do not use abrasive products and/or solvents, as these damage the leather and cause irreparable damage to your sofa. If necessary, for more intensive cleaning, use neutral soap and a damp cloth.
Important: neutral soap is the only soap recommended for cleaning your upholstery. Do not use soap that contains soda, including coconut soap that is not pure.
Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight, as this can cause premature aging of the leather.
In addition, we recommend that you do not place your upholstery in humid places or near heat sources such as fireplaces and heaters.
Do not use polishing products, petroleum jelly, silicones, oils, solvent-based products or any other abrasive products. These products can cause permanent damage to the leather and alter the original characteristics of the product, such as its shine, feel, color, aroma and resistance.
Remember: unsuitable cleaning products can dry out the natural fibers of the leather and cause irreparable damage.
Spilled liquids should be removed immediately with a dry cloth or one slightly dampened with mild liquid soap to prevent stains from forming on the leather.
